Born in Budapest Zsolt Bács now lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

After studying 5 years Medicine and Psychology at the Universities of Budapest and Berlin he decided to become an actor so he studied drama in Zurich and has been working in numerous TV, Cinema and Theater productions. Since 1997 Zsolt Bács has written various screenplays and works as a film director as well.

Since 2008 he has been directing the successful German Telenovela „Anna und die Liebe“.
